Daniel K. Williams is a historian at Ashland University. His other books include God's Own Party: The Making of the Christian Right and Defenders of the Unborn: The Pro-Life Movement before Roe v. Wade. His published work has appeared in the New York Times, the Washington Post, Christianity Today, First Things, and the Gospel Coalition.
