Eerdmans Books for Young Readers began in 1995 as an imprint of Wm. B. Eerdmans Publishing Company, an independent, family-owned publisher in business since 1911.
Offering board books, picture books, novels, nonfiction, and religious titles for children and young adults, we at EBYR seek to publish books that create conversation and open minds to a larger world—books that are honest, wise, and hopeful. At this time, we’re especially interested in works that celebrate diversity, stories of historical significance, and books that relate to contemporary social issues.
We publish 18 to 20 new books every year.
